Bill LeGrice’s new rose for 2015
Named to celebrate the doyen of English entertainment and stalwart of Norfolk we were delighted when Stephen Fry agreed to have this rose named for him. With its quixotic mix of yellow and creamy red the mass of distinctive wavy edged single flowers are born in profusion on a strong growing, very healthy plant. Like its namesake this rose has attracted attention.

On seeing his new rose for the first time, Stephen told Rosebuddies –
“I think it’s fair to say that there is nothing that makes an English cheek glow and an English heart flutter so much as that of having a rose named in their honour. And what a rose is this. A shape so bold yet fragile, so confident yet shy … and the colours! I am swooning and drooling with pleasure. You may touch me, smell me, grow me and pick me but please always respect and thank those who bred me.”
